Soviet era guard towers around Lake Peipsi, Estonia. The lake marks the border between Russia and Estonia. But why did they need towers to guard this border, as at the time, the Russians considered Estonia to be part of the Soviet Union? We don't understand. The towers are now unmanned and falling into disrepair.
