The well of the citadel. In order to have drinking water necessary to sustain the town during a prolonged siege, it was decided to dig a well. Two Turkish prisoners were offered their freedom in exchange for undertaking the task. After 17 years of digging they reached the water table. According to legend, they were still killed after they accomplished their task.
